Final story maybe

So I finally got a job offer! This interview process was very interesting and I wanted to talk about what they do.

So the job is with The Lab Consulting. They basically make automation bots for mundane office tasks. It really does sound like an incredible starting point for a career in tech. They have a training program and everything to help get me started.

Apparently the Flatiron background was perfect for my credentials in terms of getting interviews and getting hired. I just needed a coding background. In their specific case they wanted someone who has experience HTML, CSS and UIs in general. I have all of that thankfully.

The interview process was 2 phone calls and an in-person interview with 4 separate people. The fist call was with the Director of Operation Chris. He is a younger guy so we clicked pretty quickly. It was a great interview. The second call was with a different director Dennis. Dennis was a great interview too but much more serious. He seemed to be a no bs kind of guy.

Finally the last interview, in person. I thought I would be much more nervous in person but it was WAY easier to manage. I could see body language and project much easier. I prefer it honestly to online or phone interviews. It had been to in person interviews before it had just been a long time. They officially sent an offer letter Friday afternoon and they want an answer by Monday end of day. I am very excited to start this new journey in tech. I am definitely going to still practice with JavaScript. I do not want to lose what I learned.
